Join us for"I Was Born Here. Roses are yellow and the Alamo is a blood-tree,"the multi-media, multi-voice tableau created by Virginia Grise. This production marks five years of challenges to the Alamo by artists at Bihl Haus Arts. The opening reception on Thursday, March 24th, 6-9 pm, features the site-specific installation by Deborah Kuetzpalin Vasquez, continuous screening of the film of the same name by Mirasol Riojas, and a live performance by 4 actors--Marisela Barrera, Monique Cortez, Natalie Goodnow, and Olupero Aiyenimelo--directed by Virginia Grise with original music written and performed by Rachel Cruz, PhD.
