GO! Arts Painting I with Terry Lopez de Castilla, Mondays, 9 to 11 am.
Painting I commences with the exploration of color and shape with ample attention on line, form, and color. An early achievement is the completion of the first painting. Through intimate conversations, participants recall images and memories long lost to time and pain, and this becomes inspiration for their early works. The Program incorporates confidence-building strategies, including praise, hugging, peer critique, and other techniques. Thoughout this nurturing process that helps diminish anxieties, participants become increasingly independent problem solvers, in contrast to their previous patterns of isolation and living in fear.
