  • Margaret Craig received a degree in Biology Secondary Education, a BS in Art and an MA in Painting from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She later received an MFA in Printmaking from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She invented Tar Gel Pressless Etching and has demonstrated that and other techniques at SCG and MAPC conferences. She is often involved in trade portfolios and exhibitions locally and nationally, and she recently participated in the China Sanbao International Printmaking Exhibition and Symposium. Currently she is Chair of Painting, Drawing and Printmaking at the Southwest School of Art in San Antonio, TX. Her original Biology degree has been a major influence in the visual and ecological context of her work, and her shop promotes a less toxic approach to printmaking.
  • Jayne Lawrence holds a degree in Advertising Design from the Colorado Institute of Art, and a BFA and MFA from the University of Texas at San Antonio. A multidisciplinary artist, Lawrence works primarily in sculpture, ceramics, and drawings. Along with Leigh Anne Lester, she was Co-founder of the cactus bra Space, which was the longest running alternative space for emerging artists in San Antonio (1993-2013). Lawrence has held an artist residency at Sculpture Space in Utica, New York, and has exhibited at numerous institutions, including the International Sculpture Center, Hamilton, NJ; the University of New Mexico Art Museum, Albuquerque; the McNay Art Museum, and the San Antonio Museum of Art. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Texas, San Antonio.
  • Leigh Anne Lester holds a BFA in Painting from the University of Texas, San Antonio. Her current artwork focuses on the genesis of genetic modification and its aftereffects. Along with Jayne Lawrence, Lester was Co-founder of the cactus bra Space, which was the longest running alternative space for emerging artists in San Antonio (1993-2013).   Lester’s work has been exhibited throughout the United States. Her solo exhibitions include grayDUCK Gallery, Austin; Houston Art Alliance; Lawndale Art Center, Houston; McKinney Avenue Contemporary, Dallas; Conduit Gallery, Dallas; Artpace, San Antonio; Institute of Texan Cultures, San Antonio; Southwest School of Art, San Antonio and the International Museum of Surgical Science, Chicago. She is the recipient of several awards, including the 2011 Hunting Prize, a 2007 Artist Foundation of San Antonio grant, and participation in the 2008 Creative Capital Professional Development Program and the 2015-16 Blue Star Art Museum Berlin Residency Program.
